Harry
“We have a 6 year old boxer called Harry, who, just over a year ago, suddenly went lame on his rear end. We were referred to a specialist where he was diagnosed with a spinal condition called DISH. It's non-curable with either surgery or medication, so they put him on quite a high dosage of pain relief and a large dose of gabapentin which ended up making him quite lethargic.
When we got back to our normal vet, they suggested trying out acupuncture and laser treatment as it may help with his pain, and that PinPoint was the place to go to.
I have always been of the impression that "Alternative Medications" were a white magic/placebo effect/all in the mind, type of treatment, but thought that there's no harm in trying it, and as animals don't understand placebo effects, it would be obvious if it did or didn't make any difference.
So, to cut a long story short, a visit every 6-8 weeks, and Harry is now on no pain killers, and just a low dose of his gabapentin. He still has the condition, but is otherwise fit and healthy, and gone from house arrest, to 5 mile walks and zoomies.
We cannot praise Amy and Ruby highly enough. They are so dedicated and professional in their work. A definite 5 star recommendation.
PS: I’m now a convert to acupuncture!”
