Turbo, Spook and Sassy
"I found Amy through recommendation when my beloved old Lancashire Heeler Turbo needed help with a stiff back plus a long-standing joint problem. I was very impressed not only with Amy’s wide range of holistic skills but also her great tenderness and kindness during her house calls to give Turbo acupuncture and laser treatments.
These regular sessions in conjunction with exercises taught to me by Amy meant that for the last few months of his life he could still enjoy a sniff and a bimble around the lanes. He even got to trot around in the garden making sure that his great, great, great niece, Sassy, knew who was boss.
Speaking of puppy Sassy, she too benefitted from Amy’s laser when, aged 5 months, she developed a worrying limp. I was concerned for young growing bones, but I also did not want to curtail her all-important socialisation activities by lengthy ‘crate rest’. I was so pleased that Amy’s work on her with the laser meant that healing was greatly speeded up and she was soon racing around as puppies should.
Amy has also used her wise hands on my other Heeler, 8 year-old Spook - yes, I did suggest that Amy just move in! I wanted her to check him over as he was showing signs of discomfort particularly with his left hip, and the agility trainer had noticed that he was ‘stuttering’ at the jumps. At Pinpoint Veterinary Care’s impressive facilities in Cranborne, Amy gave him a good MOT and talked me through her findings, and then did some soft tissue work and used the laser on his hip. She also arranged for Spook to be seen by her colleague for a chiropractic manipulation. All of which eased Spook’s stiffness, and gave me the information to decide to discontinue the fun agility classes and find other less impactful activities such as scent work.
I feel so lucky to know that Pinpoint Veterinary Care will be there in the future to support me and my dogs. Meanwhile Sassy and Spook are working hard on their sofa exercises watched over by dear old Turbo."
